Sri Lanka vs Australia, 1st Test, Day 3 Highlights: Nathan Lyon and Travis Head were the stars with the ball as Australia bundled out Sri Lanka for 113 in the second innings and then David Warner and Usman Khawaja scored 5 runs to help Australia gain a 1-0 lead in the 2-match series. Australia defeated Sri Lanka by 10 wickets in the 1st Test. Earlier,  Australia needed just five runs to win in the first Test against Sri Lanka after they bundled out the hosts for 113 in the second innings. For Australia, Travis Head and Nathan Lyon returned with four wickets each. After gaining a lead of 109, Australia made a good start with the ball as Nathan Lyon and Mitchell Swepson took four wickets in quick succession to leave the hosts struggling. Travis Head also got among the act and he took two wickets to leave Sri Lanka six down in 19 overs. Sri Lanka wrapped up Australia’s innings quickly on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test and Australia were bundled out for 321, having gained a lead of 109. On Day 2. Cameron Green and Alex Carey had hit fifties to put Australia in charge of the proceedings. The visitors were 313 for eight at stumps, leading the hosts by 101 runs. Skipper Pat Cummins and Nathan Lyon were batting unbeaten on 26 and 8, respectively. Earlier, Jeffrey Vandersay‘s first Test wicket gave Sri Lanka a massive breakthrough as it saw Usman Khawaja fall for 71, leaving Australia reeling at 5 wickets down.
