Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) on Wednesday announced a fresh hike in prices of compressed natural gas (CNG) in Delhi and neighbouring cities of Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram, and others. The new rates come into effect from 6 am today.
The natural gas supplier increased CNG rates by Rs 2.50 per kg.
Following the latest price revision, CNG price in Delhi now stands at Rs 66.61 from Rs 64.11 per kg earlier, according to the IGL website.
This is the third rate revision in April and the eighth increase since last month. In all, rates have gone up by about Rs 9 per kg.
The rate hike comes on the back of a surge in global gas prices.
In Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad, the revised CNG price is Rs 69.18 per kg, while in Muzaffarnagar, Meerut and Shamli, the CNG price is Rs 73.86 per kg.
The revised CNG rate in Gurugram is Rs 74.94 a kg and Rs 77.07 per kg in Rewari.
In Karnal and Kaithal, the revised CNG price is Rs 75.27 per kg, while the CNG price in Ajmer, Pali and Rajsamand stood at Rs 76.89 a kg.
In Kanpur, Hamirpur and Fatehpur, CNG is sold at 78.40 per Kg.
